Yesterday, Tory Lanez released his new “Daystar” album yesterday and he was getting cancelled on social media even more. Many expected that he would address the Megan Thee Stallion shooting allegations on Instagram Live but instead, he released this album detailing the situation. He denied being the shooting, professed his love for Megan, and also dissed the celebrities who called him out such as Chance The Rapper, Asian Doll, Dream Doll, Bun B, Kehlani, and JoJo.
Critics say the album is also in bad timing as he released it a day after the cops who killed Breonna Taylor weren’t charged. This drew criticism from Rick Ross but now, Lanez is putting in actions to back this move up. According to The Shade Room, the Daystar release date was the day of his mother’s birthday and the day that she passed away.
The Toronto rapper will also donate a portion of the proceeds of the Daystar album to organizations “supporting women,” children, victims of violence, along with the Breonna Taylor Foundation.
