When Will Smith took the stage to confront Chris Rock, he made history. Chris Rock was stunned, as he stated “Will Smith just slapped the [expletive] out of me.” Rock also said it was the biggest moment in television history. On both accounts, Chris Rock was right.

Will Smith would accept his own Oscar for ‘Best Actor,’ minutes after confronting Chris Rock. The reason Will Smith came after Chris Rock was over a joke he told about Jada Pinkett Smith. As Chris Rock tried to diffuse the situation, Will Smith repeated screamed at Chris, cursing at him.

Chris Rock heeded Will Smith’s demands to not mention his wife again. Later, Tyrese added that Will Smith had been looking to confront Chris Rock since 2016. At that year’s Oscars, Chris Rock made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith for boycotting the ceremony. Six years later, the Academy had Will Packer produce the show. When one of the top producers got to produce the Academy Awards, the top black actor decided to hit a black presenter.

While Chris Rock has been silent, Tony Rock has spoken out. On Twitter, fans asked Tony Rock if he accepted Will’s apology. Tony Rock said he doesn’t and “it’s on” when he sees Will Smith. The younger Rock brother said he wants to confront Will Smith. Many may remember Tony Rock worked with Will Smith from 2003-2007, on “All of Us.”
