Back in December, actor Tommy “Tiny” Lister, suddenly passed away at the age of 62 at his Marina Del Rey apartment. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department initially reported that friends and business associates started to become concerned when they hadn’t heard from him in a few days. That’s when a welfare check was conducted at his home.
On December 11, TMZ reported that Lister had been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms leading up to his passing. This was revealed by his manager, Cindy, Cowan. Lister was sick for a week as his body felt weak and he had trouble breathing. This resulted in Lister canceling a day of filming for a movie and a Zoom appearance for a TV festival. Now his, cause of death has been revealed.
According to TMZ, Lister did have COVID-19 at the time of his death but that isn’t the official cause of it. The L.A. County Medical Examiner stated that the “Friday” star died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, aka heart disease.
Documents also revealed that a nasal swab was used and came up with a positive COVID test. Lister also had some sort of fluid in his chest. The health issues didn’t stop there as he was also found to have had an enlarged heart with high blood pressure, poor circulation in the legs, along with coronary artery disease.
