Twelve years ago, Timothy Ray Brown, a HIV patient, was diagnosed with Leukemia. The doctor treating Brown, for the Leukemia, decided to treat both diseases. He gave him the bone marrow from a person who was resistant to the AIDS virus.

Timothy Ray Brown, since overcoming HIV, has become the face of hope. There are many who have looked at his treatment as a prototype, of sorts, to cure the AIDS virus. Unfortunately, Brown has some sad news to overcome.

Recently, Timothy Ray Brown received devastating news about his health. While he remains cured of HIV, he has Leukemia, once again, this time he is terminally ill. This new outbreak of Leukemia comes from his bone marrow.
