Last summer, Tika Sumpter gained a whole new fan base when she played opposite Queen Latifah in Bessie. The two portrayed a lesbian couple and did so convincingly. But, Tika Sumpter is best known for playing the role of Candace on “The Haves and the Have Nots.”
Tika Sumpter plays the villainess with the heart of gold and she has built a major fan base from it. She is among those popular new stars of color in the game. Funny thing is that she is far from new, as she’s also put in a decade plus to her work.
Recently, Tika Sumpter was made an honorary AKA, joining the prestigious organization. When she took her photo, Tika Sumpter surprised many. A few weeks ago, there was a story of her being pregnant, but Twitter must’ve missed that, as they are all saying the same thing in their tweets.
