Everything about “Atlanta” is all about pushing the creative envelope, and exposing society’s quirks. Tonight’s episode, however, ventured into just being weird. Of course, the people still tuned into the show and watched, but they’re confused on what they saw.
The episode begins with Earn (Childish Gambino) pleasuring his girlfriend, Van (Zazie Beetz). After their morning session, Van wants to do somethings with Earn. They had their night on the town, in Atlanta, so she has him ride with her, out to Helen.
Van went to hang out with her friends, friends who only date white guys, and things got weird, from there. So much about this episode, the square dancing, the masks, was just… wow. The fans, on Twitter, have expressed their confusion, even comparing the episode to Get Out.
