The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” Single Breaks Record For Most Total Weeks In Top Five Of Billboard Hot 100 Chart

The Weeknd has had another epic year for himself and the momentum all started at the end of 2019 with the release of his “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights” singles. In March, the Toronto superstar released his fourth studio album, “After Hours,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Blinding Lights continues to make a lot of noise worldwide and is dominating the charts. He has now achieved another impressive accomplishment with this single as he now has the most total weeks of Blinding Lights being in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The number reached is 28 weeks.

Blinding Lights is currently at No. 3 on the Hot 100 and it was also No. 1 at one point. It has also been certified platinum by the RIAA in the US. It has achieved even more success worldwide with this status as in France, it is diamond. In Canada, it’s 7x platinum, and in Australia it is at 6x platinum status.
