The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” Continues Its Streak as Longest Running Top 10 Hit in Billboard Hot 100 History at 45 Weeks

The Weeknd continues to be one of the most dominant artists in the world. He’s had two epic records out since November 2019 with “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless” as well. Both went on to reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Both of these also appeared on his fourth studio album, ‘After Hours,’ which was released in March 2020 and also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Blinding Lights still continues to be the fan-favorite as it is still breaking records. According to Chart Data, this single is still the longest running top 10 hit in Billboard Hot 100 history at 45 consecutive weeks now. Currently, it stands at No. 3 on the Hot 100.

Blinding Lights also stands at platinum status in the United States. It is even more popular in other countries as it is 2x Diamond in Brazil, Diamond in France, Diamond in Poland, 8x platinum in Canada, and more. The music video for this record has also accumulated over 342 million YouTube views.

The Weeknd is also set to perform at the Super Bowl in Tampa on February 7. Blinding Lights has been promoted heavily in preparation for the show and he is sure to do well when it’s time to perform this smash hit on the biggest stage of them all.
