The Weeknd’s 2019 smash hit single, “Blinding Lights,” has been in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 56 consecutive weeks now as he continues to set this record on the chart. This record passed LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” as the longest-running No. 1 on the Hot 100 as well.
“Blinding Lights” has just set another impressive Hot 100 record, too. It is now officially the biggest hit in Hot 100 history. The single was on pace to reach this mark following his performance at Super Bowl LV in February.
“Blinding Lights” is 7x platinum in the US as it originally debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 at the time of its release. It went on to appear on The Weeknd’s fourth studio album, “After Hours,” in March 2020. That project also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Many believe that “Blinding Lights” can keep his top 10 streak on the Hot 100 into the summer as well. The single could also very well possibly be certified diamond by the end of 2021 too based on the massive success it continues to have on the charts.
"Blinding Lights" by @theweeknd is now the #1 biggest Hot 100 song of all-time under Billboard's current calibration. Our website's GOAT List will be updated soon.
