The Weeknd earns fourth straight number one album, with “Dawn FM”

Last week, The Weeknd released his fifth studio album, “Dawn FM.” This project was led by the hit single, “Take My Breath,” which was released in August.

Many anticipated that Dawn FM would be The Weeknd’s fourth straight number one album, and that is the case. According to Chart Data, it has topped the Billboard 200 chart, with 154,000 units. Gunna’s “DS4EVER” is second with 152,000 units.

Dawn FM contained 16 tracks, with features from Lil Wayne and Tyler, The Creator. Quincy Jones and Jim Carrey also provided narrations. “Sacrifice” has also been listed as the latest single, from Dawn FM.

Dawn FM is also The Weeknd’s second album, in less than two years. The previous one came back in March 2020, with “After Hours.” That release led to the Canadian superstar performing at last year’s Super Bowl, in Tampa.
