Teyana Taylor surprised social media last week as she revealed at the end of her “Wake Up Love” music video feat. her husband, Iman Shumpert, that the two were having a second child on the way. They were pictured in a bed together along with their daughter as Taylor was visibly pregnant.
Taylor had also previously announced that her third studio album, ‘The Album,’ would be on the way as well last month. She said it would be released sometime in June but no clear date was set. Now, she just took to her Instagram to announce that it will be out on the Juneteenth holiday. (June 19)
The Album will contain 23 tracks with more features from Lauryn Hil, Rick Ross, Erykah Badu, Quavo, Kehlani, Big Sean, Missy Elliot, Future, Davido, and King Combs. The album will also be divided by “Studio” sections. The release of The Album comes almost exactly two years after she released her ‘K.T.S.E.‘ project. It did well as it debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Album may do even better following the pregnancy announcement, strength of the tracklist, and the success of the Wake Up Love record overall.
