In 2005, the hip hop world as many knew it was shaken up when A.J. Calloway and Marie “Free” Wright left “106 & Park.” For five years, the two had interviewed some of hip hop’s biggest names and played the most in-demand music videos. The two made “106 & Park” what it was, during that period of time.

When A.J. and Free left “106 & Park,” Big Tigger and Julissa Bermudez took over hosting, while the search for the official new hosts began. A part of BET’s “New Faces” campaign, Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz were selected to host “106 & Park.” The two have surpassed the time A.J. and Free spent as hosts of the show and have made it their own.

Perhaps the moment which solidified Terrence J and Rocsi as hosts of “106 & Park” was when they interviewed A.J. and Free. Now, there are rumors of them leaving “106 & Park” to pursue acting roles, according to the New York Post. Terrence J has had a number of acting roles, including a recurring role in BET’s “The Game,” while Rocsi is set to co-star in a film with Lynn Whitfield.
