Tekashi 6ix9ine has been winning big with his “Gooba” single as it debuted ar No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has reached over 273 million views. He is also planning to release his new “Trollz” single on June 5. His Gooba video also got taken down from YouTube by Kenyan producer, Magix Enga, due to 6ix9ine sampling one of his beats. 6ix9ine has supposedly since paid for the beat and the video is back up.
People are also wondering what 6ix9ine’s stance is on the murder of George Floyd since he constantly uses the n-word in his life and in his songs. In a now-deleted video, the Brooklyn rapper blames him still being on house arrest for not speaking on this injustice. He did offer condolences to Floyd’s family though.
“I’m still not a free man,” said 6ix9ine while pointing to his ankle monitor. “I’m home under supervised release. I can’t speak on certain topics but what I want to do and what I am gonna do is send out my deepest condolences to the Floyd family.”
This was a very week excuse by 6ix9ine. Him being on house arrest has nothing to do with his right to speak on injustices in America such as racism and police brutality. He is set to be a free man in August. He got out of prison early in April due to coronavirus concerns and was granted house arrest.
