The evolution of hip hop isn’t just in the preference of sounds, it is also evolution in what these rappers are about. With the case of Ice T and his counterparts, like NWA, they invented gangsta rap. While some of these guys may have had cases, it wasn’t like this.
Tay K is also a gangsta rapper, but of the Southern blend, which brings in trap music elements. Bringing that Southern gangsta rap, Tay K also had warrants to back him up. As he was rising to fame, Tay K was facing capital murder charges.
Earlier this week, Tay K was rumored to have been released from prison. However, these rumors ended up being proven false, as Tay K is still locked up. Now, Tay K has reached a multimillion dollar deal with 88 Classic/RCA Records.
