Back in the spotlight is Talib Kweli, who had previously been away from the game for an extended period of time. Several veterans from New York have made comebacks and are currently going strong with their music. Talib Kweli is among them and today he returned with Prisoner of Conscious.
The album has been one of the most-anticipated albums to drop this year. Competition, however, is very stiff. Talib Kweli had to go up against several major veterans also in the mode of comeback. But, for those who want to hear conscious hip hop, they have to look no further than Talib Kweli.
Yesterday, HotNewHipHop sat down with Talib Kweli and he talked about his new album and what to expect. A major topic of the album was the artwork on it. Talib Kweli spoke on how it came together and why it looks the way it does. This is the first part of the interview, with the second due next week.
