Takeoff Denies Rape Allegations Regarding Incident at LA Party Two Months Ago; LAPD Investigation Now Underway

Takeoff, 1/3 of Migos, is in some hot water as of Wednesday as he’s being accused of rape by a woman who said this went down at a party in Los Angeles back in June. He was reportedly upset that she denied his offer of marijuana and that’s when he got even more upset that she went upstairs with the man who invited her to the party. The two argued while she waited in a room.

Takeoff allegedly ended up going in the room, put her face-down, and then proceeded to sexually assault her. She ended up having evidence of forceful rape. Now, the Atlanta rapper is denying any involvement in this incident, according to his attorney, Drew Finding, to TMZ.

“We have reviewed the allegations and have similarly done our own due diligence. What has become abundantly clear is that the allegations made against Takeoff are patently and provably false. The claims and statements made regarding this lawsuit indicate that the plaintiffs’ representatives have not spoken with relevant witnesses or reviewed available evidence.”

“Takeoff is renowned for his artistic talent as well as his quiet, reserved and peaceful personality. In this instance, those known personality traits have made him a target of an obvious exploitative money grab. As his counsel, we are well aware and well versed on the importance of civil and criminal prosecution of true sexual assaults. This is not one of those situations.”

As of now, an investigation by the LAPD is underway. The woman in the lawsuit against Takeoff is listed as Jane Doe as she’s suing him for sexual battery, assault, emotional distress, and damages.
