With his VH1 series, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” back on the air, T.I. has been making his media rounds, promoting both his series and his book. T.I., though he released an album in 2010 and had singles out in 2011, has been out of the spotlight for three years. At the peak of his career, T.I. was sent to prison over his 2007 gun charges.

Not even a year after T.I. was released from prison, he was sent back to prison, after picking up drug charges in Los Angeles. Many fans were anticipating T.I.’s 2010 comeback, but those plans were derailed with his drug charge. Aware of the fans being disappointed in his actions, T.I. vowed to do better, as he released No Mercy.

T.I. hit the ground running, as he and B.o.B. released a series of songs in the fall of 2011 and the head of Grand Hustle even released a new mixtape. Over the past nine months, however, T.I. has been focused on putting together his Trouble Man album. Recently, T.I. was in New York City and he stopped by Hot 97, talking about Lil Wayne’s negative comments about the Big Apple.
