Early in his career, T.I. was called the “Jay-Z of the South” by Pharrell. Because he didn’t experience immediate success, T.I. was laughed off after the release of his first album. But, once T.I. returned, he became one of the most-consistent rappers in the game and lived up to this comparison.

T.I. is considered a legend in some circles and he commands plenty of respect wherever he goes. His career is filled with hits and all other types of success, although his recent music isn’t catching on like his older hits. Still, T.I. is making his rounds and growing his brands.

This morning, T.I. visited Hot 97 after a night in New York City with Young Thug. He talked to Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez about his marriage to Tiny and being a rapper and a husband. In the interview, he also spoke on his relationship with Young Thug and the new music he has in the works.
