Back in 2003, T.I. re-emerged in the game after many felt as if he would not have a chance to return. He appeared on Bonecrusher’s hit single, “Neva Scared,” which dominated the summer of 2003. Atlantic Records saw something in T.I. and they signed him and his imprint, Grand Hustle Records.

A beautiful partnership was formed and T.I. dropped seven highly-successful albums with the label. Before his legal trouble, T.I. was on a strong with the music and his businesses were booming. There were rumors of Atlantic Records possibly hiring T.I. to run the whole label, now he is no longer with the company.

Wanting a $75 million deal, T.I. is holding out until he gets that. Shaheem Reid sat down with T.I. for “The Round Up” on Life + Times. In the interview, T.I. discussed his free agent status, the adversity he is facing, and his overall legacy, which should still be regarded among the greats.
