The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be an issue as the US had seen infection rates climb and we’ve sadly seen countries such as France and England impose new one-month lockdowns. Now, T.I. is speaking on the virus and how he handles the virus.
In an interview with Complex’s Speedy Norman, the Atlanta legend revealed that he recently took 13 tests and they all came back negative. He gets his results back in two hours. He added that he’s not careless about the virus but doesn’t live in fear. T.I. added that ” I’d rather boost my immune system to defend me against COVID should I come in contact with it rather than wear a mask and hide in fear of coming in contact with it.”
This has since drawn a lot of criticism as well for what else T.I. went on to say. This was that COVID-19 starts in the throat and that it goes to the lungs. He added that people need to catch the virus while it’s still in the throat and drink hot liquids to wash it down to the stomach so acids can kill it.
“I’ve researched and I’ve found that COVID starts in the throat. A scratchy throat, a sore throat, before it makes its way..it grows and it travels to the lungs. If you catch it while it’s still in the throat and you drink warm liquids, the warm liquids wash it down to the stomach where the stomach acid then kill it.”
T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, has had a lot of negative tests as well but one came back showing that she had COVID-19 antobodies as a result of having the virus before. T.I. believes that he may be building immunity due to not testing positive after being around her while she had it.
T.I. also released his 11th studio album, ‘The L.I.B.R.A.’ two weeks ago. This project contained 20 tracks and had appearances by 21 Savage, Young Thug, 42 Dugg, John Legend, and more.
