Last year, Doe B was well on his way to becoming one of the biggest rising rappers in the game. Born and raised in Alabama, Doe B was a member of T.I.’s Hustle Gang camp and he was the biggest breakout star. This year, Doe B was set to make his major push to take over the game.

Everything was supposed to start with his new mixtape, D.O.A.T. 4 (Definition of a Trapper). Before this, T.I. had the streets rocking with his “Let Me Find Out” single and the remix with Juicy J and T.I. Last fall, Doe B and T.I. performed at an after party during the 2013 BET Hip hop Awards.

When Doe B was still alive, T.I. had a phone conversation with Jay-Z and they discussed Doe B. Much like how Pharrell called T.I. the “Jay-Z of the South” when he was a new artist, T.I. called Doe B the “Biggie of the South.” Seeing how both rappers’ lives ended tragically, it was a bit prophetic of Tip for him to say this.
