Only a few months ago, most of the hip hop world had given up on T.I. A year of T.I.’s life was lost due to two prison stints. When his career was taking off, T.I. lost his best friend, following an altercation during one of his performances. With his own life in danger, T.I. began purchasing guns in order to protect himself and his family.

T.I. was caught purchasing guns and was arrested, with a trial scheduled. In between the arrest and the trial, T.I. became one of the most-popular rappers in the game. Enjoying the peak of his career, with two singles topping Billboard, T.I. was forced to spend seven months in prison. Fans were eager to see the Grand Hustle CEO reclaim his spot, but he waited to release comeback material.

During a trip to Los Angeles, T.I. was caught with drugs and was sent to prison, disappointing fans who hoped for a T.I. comeback. When he was released from prison, last September, T.I. knew he had to work overtime to regain his fan base, but he did so successfully. Fans are not the only ones impressed, as the judge has said T.I. is the “model probationer” and some of his rights have been restored.
