SZA has been one of the biggest R&B stars for over four years now and it all started with the release of her debut album, “Ctrl,” in the summer of 2017. That project debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The biggest record from Ctrl ended up being “The Weekend,” which wasn’t even initially a lead single. That song ended up peaking at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is 3x platinum in the United States.
Now, Ctrl has set another impressive chart milestone. According to Chart Data, this album has now spent 200 weeks on the Billboard 200. From the time that it debuted here, it never left the chart even once.
Ctrl contained 14 songs in total with additional appearances from Travis Scott, James Fauntleroy, and fellow Top Dawg Entertainment artists, Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad. The other lead singles singles from the album were “Love Galore” feat. Travis Scott, “Drew Barrymore,” “Broken Clocks,” and “Garden (Say It Like Dat).”
Currently, SZA is winning big with her “Good Days” single, which was released on Christmas. It currently stands at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and peaked at No. 9. It is also almost certified 2x platinum in the United States. It is expected that SZA will finally put out her sophomore album sometime in 2021 as well.
