SZA Seems Ready To Release New Music But Hints at TDE President, Punch, Holding It Back; Fans Start #FreeSZA Trend on Twitter

Over the weekend, SZA shut down rumors that a fan was spreading on Twitter regarding her sophomore album. It was allegedly titled ‘Alt’ and had features from Summer Walker, Frank Ocean, and Isaiah Rashad. The rumor also had a September 18 release date.

SZA is now speaking on potential new music again on Twitter and there is more bad news. She said at this point, fans just have to ask TDE President, Punch, about the music. She added that she’s done all she could do. One fan previously proposed to Punch to release songs that didn’t appear on her 2017 debut studio album, ‘Ctrl,’ in 2017. Punch agreed to this by saying “Soon” but that move never happened.

SZA replied to the fan and said “This is all he says to me as well. Welcome to my f*cking life.” Punch has since appeared to be trolling in response on Twitter as he’s retweeting people who are bashing him. @JadaTaliaa mentioned how it’s wild that SZA has to go on social media to explain the things that TDE isn’t doing for her. She added that this is how he’s treating an artist like SZA and that the fans just want the music and nothing extra.

Fans have since started the #FreeSZA hashtag. Hopefully, this situation gets fixed ASAP and we finally get the album that people have been waiting for for two and a half years.
