Verzuz has been a huge success in 2020 as artists show off their greatest hits. The last one that took place was Gucci Mane vs Jeezy on November 19, which kicked off season 2. This battle posted epic numbers as it accumulated over 9 million viewers and was the the most-tweeted Verzuz ever. Jeezy and Gucci also appeared to bury their 15-year-old beef.
Now, fans are wondering what the next Verzuz will be. Verzuz founders, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, appeared on TMZ Live and were asked about the possibility of Dr. Dre vs Diddy and that is doable.
“Now that’s something different,” said Swizz, after originally being skeptical about Jay Z vs Diddy happening. “Everybody has these magical wishes that they want [to see on Verzuz] but the universe has been bringing these magical wishes so I can’t even say what’s not gonna happen ’cause a lot of the Verzuz, just like the last one we’ve seen, everybody said that it couldn’t happen. Right? So now, we just let the universe naturally make things happen. “I’m not gonna say no. I’m never gonna say no anymore.”
Diddy and Dre are two of the greatest artists/producers to ever do it so this would definitely be a matchup that fans will entertain. We will see if this is something that the two agree on doing moving forward, though. Check out Swizz Beatz and Timbaland on TMZ Live below.
