Sway Calloway talks interviewing President Obama with ThisIs50.com [VIDEO]

At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Rick Ross deemed Sway Calloway the Fab 5 Freddy of the new generation. While the comparison is valid, Sway has become much more than the average anchor. Instead, Sway Calloway has morphed into the ambassador, of sorts, for hip hop in the media.

In the eyes of many, President Obama is the first hip hop president. During his first presidential campaign, Obama admitted he smoked marijuana. President Obama also admitted to being a fan of Jay-Z and campaigned with him. Carrying the hip hop vote, Obama swept into the presidency.

Loved and hated more than any other politician in history, President Obama set a record when he sat down with Sway for MTV. At the same time, Sway set the standard for a hip hop journalist when President Obama spoke to him. For once, Sway was the one being interviewed when he discussed this with Young Jack Thriller for ThisIs50.com.
