Summer Walker’s 2019 Debut Studio Album, “Over It,” Reaches 2x Platinum Eligibilty

Since the end of 2018, Summer Walker has emerged as one of R&B’s best. At that time, her breakout hit single, “Girls Need Love,” was making a lot of noise and then, got Drake on the remix in January 2019. The remix ended up appearing on her debut album, “Over It,” that fall.

Over It ended up debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and hit platinum status in the US. Five songs on that project are certified platinum as well. Now, another key milestone has been reached for the Atlanta native.

According to Chart Data, Over It has hit 2x platinum eligibility in the US. This is after selling 2 million units. Some of the notable hits included on this album are “Come Thru” feat. Usher, “Stretch You Out” feat. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, “Girls Need Love” remix, “Playing Games” feat. Bryson Tiller, and “Body.”

Summer has since been enjoying motherhood as she gave birth to her first child, which is a girl. The father is her boyfriend and multi-platinum producer, London On Da Track. Walker initially announced her pregnancy in late November. She publicly announced issues she had with London at the time as well but it seems that the two worked things out and are still a couple. Fans also hope for Walker to hopefully put out her sophomore album sometime this year as well.
