Summer Walker has pissed the people of Los Angeles off by calling their city “dirty.” In the video she says “LA is dirty. There’s homeless people everywhere, it f*cking stinks outside. There’s trash everywhere. There’s graffiti everywhere. Y’all is a dirty ass city to be acting this bougie!”
DJ Hed from REAL 92.3 LA, called Summer out for her remarks. He said “Dear @summerwalker, my name is DJ Hed and I’m born n’ raised here in Los Angeles. I’m also someone who has grown tired of people like yourself who lack respect and perspective. You people in the “industry” love to come here and pillage the resources indulging in all the advantages my city has to offer and in the same week rant about how f*cked up it is. You stay in the Thirty Mile Zone without contributing to the community and or very industry you’re here to consume. The OGs taught me a long time ago, it’s not where you’re from it’s where you at, I wish people like you YesJulz and the countless others I’ve seen have this energy towards a city you’re not native to nor care about in the first place. As far as your concerns, let’s be solution based… I can gladly link you with @mhdcd8 to talk about your plan to decrease graffiti… I also see you have a show coming up DTLA at the Novo Nov. 8 and I could connect you with @ericgarcetti to talk about you donating all the proceeds from that show to assist in our homeless issues… Either way you’re entitled to do you but I strongly urge you and others like you in this business to respect this city and it’s residents.
