Many celebrities have been using their platforms to speak on current injustices in America such as the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis PD last week, and other forms of racism and police brutality. We’ve also seen them actually in the field with protestors such as J.Cole, Nick Cannon, K Camp, Stephen and Ayesha Curry, and more.
Summer Walker has also been doing a solid job of speaking on these issues. She took to her Instagram stories today though to express her frustration on how Interscope Records hasn’t said anything bad about her twerking but they are taking an issue with her speaking on the injustices that are still plaguing America.
“Lmao y’all tryna benefit yourselves,” said Walker in a series of posts. I’m not promoting violence but your issue is w law enforcement, the police. The police cars, stations. That’s who your issue is with, for racial injustice in case you forget. If you want to do some damage, stop GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY. Gucci, Dior, LV, Target or where ever else. Support black business only, if you want to hurt them. But y’all looking real ghetto at this point.”
“You can talk about your p*ssy and post your ass, talk about buying worthless jewelry instead of businesses and property, flex money, and disrespect your women. AND NONE OF THAT IS INSENSITIVE,” Summer added. “But trying to warn people that DEEP STATE IS FINNESSING YOU ALL AND TRYING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHTS, IS TOO SENSITIVE.”
“Black, White, Hispanic, Chinese, Indian THE DEEP STATE IS FINNESING US ALL. “But my label just told me that this information is too sensitive, but I NEVER got a call about me clapping my ass in panties is to sensitive. Surprised? No Disappointed? Yes And ima leave it at that cause I don’t wanna disrespect nobody.”
Salute to Walker for not backing down from speaking on the important issues in our country. She has a massive platform and spreading these messages through them are very effective.
