Both Drake and The Weeknd have evolved to become two of the biggest artists in all realms of entertainment. Their success is impressive because of their Canadian history. Yes, there have been other Canadian artists to have American success, but none have been able to move into the hip hop culture the way they have.
Initially, Drake and The Weeknd worked together on a number of projects, but they have since given each other a break. The Weeknd sang on Drake’s Take Care album, providing vocals on “Crew Love.” But, both have retreated into their respective corners while working on new projects.
Drake is going all out on Nothing Was the Same and he jumped out the gate with two major hit singles. Since then, Drake has begun to go on a decline, but he is still in the studio working. Recently, a photo surfaced from a recent Drake studio session and it showed him working with The Weeknd.
