Steve Stoute talks Puffy “Hate Me Now” conflict on #RapRadarPodcast #TIDAL [VIDEO]

Those old enough to remember Nas’ single, “Hate Me Now,” remember the music video. Showing Nas and Puff Daddy, the featured artist, hanging from the cross, it was an intense video. The story often overlooked is how Steve Stoute was involved.

Steve Stoute was Nas’ manager and he negotiated Puff Daddy to do the scene. However, when it came time to air the video, Puffy asked for his part to be taken out. Legend has it that things became violent when he saw the video with him on the cross.

Recently, Steve Stoute sat down with Elliott Wilson for the Rap Radar podcast, on TIDAL. In promotion of the interview, Elliott Wilson shared one clip from the interview. The clip he shared was Steve Stoute telling what really happened behind the scenes of the “Hate Me Now” music video.
