In addition to dominating the mainstream, Maybach Music excels in dropping mixtapes that get mainstream treatment. Their Ohio representative, Stalley, is the latest member to drop a mixtape. Yesterday, Stalley dropped his Honest Cowboy mixtape, which is filled with album-worthy songs.

Among the people Stalley collaborated with on this project is ScHoolboy Q. Working with one of the “New West” leaders, Stalley continues his run as one of the most popular bubbling-under rappers in the game. A lot of people were drawn to his mixtape track, “1987.”

Stalley recently stopped through Atlanta and Hip Hop Since 1987 caught up with him for an interview. Hip Hop Since 1987, fittingly, discussed the “1987” track with Stalley along with the rest of the mixtape. They also spoke on Stalley’s take on “ESPN: First Take,” since he has the intro song.
