Three months after the two part “Empire” season finale, the show is still trending on social media. The show’s stars, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, hosted Guys’ Choice Awards on Spike, earlier this month. All of this has served as a good holdover until season two begins.

Going into season two, there is a lot of speculation about the show. When season one ended, Lucious Lyon (Howard) was sent to prison. Behind bars, his son, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) took over his company. Meanwhile, his other sons, and exes plotted his downfall.

The key players in season one, also including Trai Byers, Bryshere Gray, and Grace Gealey helped “Empire” become a very glamorous show. Lee Daniels wants to change a lot of this in the second season, showing the hard part of growing up black in America. Spoilers have revealed “Empire” is doing a racial storyline, White Supremacy, storyline, for season two, which begins on September 23.
