SPOILER ALERT: Jussie Smollett is NOT leaving #Empire, as Jamal Lyon survives; Plus season finale details

Jamal Lyon 2What is television without a little drama? “Empire” was on the verge of facing backlash and Lee Daniels decided to amp things up. The question of “Empire” was whether or not Jussie Smollett was leaving the show, as his Jamal took a powerful shot to the gut in close range.

Further hyping the situation, Jussie Smollett hyped his scenes with onscreen father, Terrence Howard. Then, the icing on the cake came when Jussie Smollett made a post on Twitter confirming his exit. But, nothing is ever that simple.

It turns out, our hunch was right and Jussie Smollett was just having a little fun with the audience. But, season two ends with Jamal Lyon surviving, but refusing to do any music until his family agrees to act like a family. Other season finale spoilers are included below.
