Until this summer, Meek Mill and Drake appeared to be good friends. It makes sense, seeing how close Maybach Music and Young Money have been since day one. Also, Drake appears on both Meek Mill albums, so no need for hostility.
Meek Mill is known for randomly snapping on those close to him, however. Days before going to prison, Meek Mill called Wale out, labeling him a hater, for not promoting his album on Instagram. Many feel this is why he called Drake out.
A lot has been said about the innerworkings of the Meek Mill/Drake beef, with some feeling as if Jay Z is pulling strings. One thing is for sure, Drake is set to perform at TIDAL’s TIDAL X: 10/20 concert, as is Meek Mill. Several posters on prominent hip hop discussion forums, such as KanyeToThe and TheColi feel as if this concert is a device for the two to make amends.
