These past few years, Soulja Boy has become the source of jokes, for his claims of being the first to do a lot of things. A lot of what he says is outlandish, but he did inspire quite a bit, too. But, his recent interview with Complex Sneakers saw him say he was the first rapper to wear Bape.
Late, in 2005, Bape was actually launched with Pharrell as a co-founder. Many rappers wore the brand, in support of the popular producer. Actually, future fashion mogul, Kanye West, helped to make the brand popular, within the hip hop culture.
Soulja Boy has been trending, ever since the interview clip of him claiming to be the first rapper wearing Bape dropped. The fans on Twitter have come with all kinds of jokes, due to his claim. These jokes stem from Pharrell being a co-founder of the brand, when it dropped in 2005, two years before Soulja debuted.
“I was the first rapper on Bape. Period” 😳
