This week, Gucci released a racist sweater that depicted blackface. It was all-black with red lips at the top of the sweater. Many artists have called for a boycott of Gucci. T.I. was the latest as he called for everyone to take their dollars elsewhere on Instagram last night.
Now, Soulja Boy is the latest artist to do so. He’s been known to rock Gucci clothes for years, with their headband being the latest item. He also put out a song in 2008 called “Gucci Bandana” with Gucci Mane and Shawty Lo. He’s officially done with them now. He says it’s all about Fendi and Fashion Nova from this point.
He posted his message in a new video on Instagram while wearing a Fendi headband. He said Gucci is canceled as he’s shocked and appalled. Check out Big Soulja announcing his boycott below.
