Down at A3C, Master P explained how he and Solange ended up working together on her album. He revealed they actually share a close relationship. Plus, they can relate to each other for their determination in being independent artists.
Solange won over critics with A Seat At The Table, which helped her break out of the Jay Z/Beyonce shadow. The album is receiving high marks from people long after its release. Many credited Master P for also giving some classic advice on the album.
Recently, Solange did an interview with Questlove on Pandora Radio. In the interview, Solange talked about why she had Master P on her album in the fashion he was. In short, she said she respects him as a businessman, a person, an artist, and a music industry executive, and someone her father also admired.
