Recent years have seen Snoop Dogg do almost everything he was never expected to during the early part of his career. What people call this is progression and Snoop Dogg has made tons of progress since his start. Much of the transition took place when Snoop Dogg united with Pharrell and he has not looked back since.
When Snoop Dogg and Pharrell came together for the first time, they dominated the summer of 2003 with “Beautiful” off Tha Last Meal. Pharrell went on to craft a masterful sound for R&G: Rhythm & Gangsta (Tha Masterpiece). A lot of praise is given to the “Signs” record with Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, and Charlie Wilson.
During the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards, which Snoop Dogg hosted, MTV News caught up with him and he spoke on his new music. There is a new Snoop Dogg album in the works and he is reuniting with a resurgent Pharrell on the project. He told MTV that fans will not have to worry about him changing his name for this album.
