Fans have been anticipating the upcoming Slaughterhouse album, welcome to: OUR House since before the release of their 2009 debut album. When Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5’9, and Crooked I united, fans of underground hip hop rejoiced. Each of these artists had brief moments in the mainstream before finding success on an independent level. Upon uniting, Eminem expressed interest in adding the group to Shady Records.

With Eminem focused on his own comeback album and music in 2009, Slaughterhouse signed a one-album deal with E1 Music. Under E1, the Slaughterhouse foursome released their self-titled debut album and began negotiating with Eminem. By the summer of 2010, Slaughterhouse had officially signed with Shady Records and began working on their Shady debut. The addition of Yelawolf the following year led to the phrase Shady 2.0.

After numerous delays, Slaughterhouse is finally preparing to release their Shady debut. As their album is due for a summer release, the group is beginning to make their media rounds. Recently, Slaughterhouse stopped by Power 106 in Los Angeles and spoke with the L.A. Leakers. During their interview with Power 106, Slaughterhouse spoke on their upcoming album and their favorite overall albums, along with other topics.
