This week has seen plenty of shocking news and Harriet Tubman was once a trending topic. Before the shocking deaths of Chyna Doll and Prince, along with Birdman acting out on “The Breakfast Club,” news broke of Harriet Tubman taking the $20 bill. She replaces Jackson.
Harriet Tubman is one of the main figures of the Underground Railroad that led to the Civil Rights movement. Fittingly, Harriet Tubman replaces Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. After all, he was one of the presidents who presided over slavery.
There is some debate over why the government made this decision, but regardless of the motivation, it, like having Jackson, is a good way to honor American history. But, apparently, not everyone feels this way, as 60 members of the KKK committed suicide after learning of Harriet Tubman taking over as the face of the $20 bill.
