The fall of 2017 saw a continuation of the retro era that has come to define the 2020s. Everyone once believed to be a part of the past is now a part of the future. Either the top television shows are movies, or star people who were long ago believed to have their last hurrah.
Netflix has been a major reason for this, as they have offered reboots to several popular shows. Spike Lee partnered with Netflix to turn one of his classic movies into a series. No longer is “She’s Gotta Have It” a movie, it is now a series, starring DeWanda Wise.
After the ten episodes premiered, back in November, “She’s Gotta Have It” was met with strong reviews. The show was immensely popular with viewers. Those viewers now have good news, as Netflix confirmed they were picking the show up for a second season.
