Across the board, Hot 97 has made history from the minute it began broadcasting and few can argue that it is hip hop’s biggest radio station. In recent years, crosstown rivals, Power 105.1, have made their mark, but Hot 97 reigns supreme. A year ago, VH1 covered hip hop media with “The Gossip Game,” but it didn’t last.
Not to worry, VH1 retooled and they have come back with “This Is Hot 97,” the first reality show specifically dedicated to one station. Fans can now get a closer view of Hot 97. Through this, fans can see Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg, DJ Cipha Sounds, Angie Martinez, Miss Info, and Laura Stylez in their element.
Next week, the first episode of “This Is Hot 97” will premiere on VH1. But, VH1 never lets their fans down and they delivered the episode online for the fans to watch a week ahead of schedule. The show made its debut this morning and fans saw how the Hot 97 machine is run with an exclusive inside look.
