Rubi Rose has been on fire in 2021, as she was recently named to the cover of the 2021 XXL Freshman cover. This year, she’s released singles such as “Poke” and “TWORK.” Recently, Rubi also split with rapper DDG, and the two even thought they were subminally dissing each other on Twitter last weekend.
Rubi also recently spoke with 99 Jamz Miami, and revealed that she doesn’t plan to date anymore rappers, as this interview took place prior to her being subliminally dissed by her ex-BF, DDG. At the time, he said on Twitter how his next girlfriend can’t have “60 bodies.” This was in response to him believing that Rubi was subliminally discussing him, when she said on Twitter how she wants men taller men.
As far as people in the industry in general, she added that it’d be hard not to, due to regular 9-5 men not being able to understand her schedule and lifestyle.
Last year, Rubi also had issues with Lil Tjay, who supposedly flew her out. A video leaked of the two together and how he didn’t get her a return flight. Rubi ended up clarifying that she ended up getting the flight back on her own.
With the early success that Rubi’s had so far in her young career, this is definitely the right mentality to have. Hopefully, we see an album released before 2021 is over as well. In 2020, Rubi delivered her “For The Streets” project.
