Yesterday, Rubi Rose went viral with comments that she made, while on the Big Facts podcast. The rapper was being asked about if she would date a man who makes less money than her, and she revealed that she would be open to that.

Rubi added that they could work that out, and an example is Nicki being with someone who makes less money than her, which is her husband, Kenneth Petty. Rubi said she would help her man, but doesn’t want to be the man in the relationship. Nicki fans have since been bashing Rubi for her comments, but now, she is clarifying what she said.

“Aht aht! I didn’t mean in it in a disrespectful way at all,” Rubi said in The Shade Room comments, on Instagram. “I was just saying you can be happy with a man who makes less than you. I’ll say britney spears next time … [crying tear emoji].”

Rubi has been one of the hottest rising artists over the past year, as she even made the 2021 XXL Freshman cover. A few months ago, she put out her first single of the year, “I Like.”
