Roddy Ricch was very quiet in 2020 when it came to his own new music releases but it was all good for him. His debut studio album, ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial‘ and his “The Box” single were released in December 2019 and it made a lot of noise for an entire year.

The Box ended up being the No. 1 song in the country on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the album also reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The Box’s momentum isn’t slowing down at all at the start of 2021 as it is now 8x platinum in the US. This is after selling 8 million units.

As for the GRAMMYs taking place in March, it is nominated in three categories. They are for Best Rap Song, Best Song, and Best Rap/Sung Performance. Roddy is in three other nominations as well for being featured on DaBaby’s No. 1 single, “Rockstar.” This record is in the Best Rap Song, Best Record, and Best Rap/Sung Performance categories as well.
