Roddy Ricch has been very quiet for all of 2020 when it comes to dropping his own new music but he has still been feeling the success of his 2019 breakout hit single, “The Box,” along with his debut album, ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial.’ The Box became the No. 1 song in the country and currently stands at 7x platinum status. The album also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and is at platinum status as well. He was also part of another huge record in DaBaby’s “Rockstar” which was also the top song in the country and is 4x platinum.

Back in late August, Ricch was chillin’ in his pool as he said his second album is coming “soon as f*ck.” No exact release date was given but at least it was an update regarding new music definitely being on the way. Now, Ricch posted a video to his Instagram story where he landed in Atlanta.

In Ricch’s caption, he said he’s in “album mode.” Hopefully, this means that a good amount of it has been completed. We will see if he ends up dropping the album before 2020 is over.

The Box has since become his first song to reach 1 billion Spotify streams and also has 11 nominations for this month’s BET Hip-Hop Awards. Among the categories he’s headlining are Best Hip-Hop Video,” “Best Live Performer,” “Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year,” and “Song Of The Year.”
