Typically, Rihanna delivers a new album every year, but she fell back from doing this in recent years. More than likely, this was because Rihanna was hoping to leave her longtime label, Def Jam, for Roc Nation. Since its inception, Rihanna has been signed to Roc Nation management.
During Rihanna’s hiatus, Rita Ora rose to fame and Jay Z wasted no time signing her to the Roc Nation roster. Immediately, many people compared the London pop star, Rita Ora, to Rihanna. The two are now signed to the same label.
Apparently, the ladies do not get along at all and Rihanna had the upper hand following Met Gala 2015. When Rihanna held her afterparty, there were a few people she decided she was not going to let in. Among them was Rita Ora, despite them being signed to the same label.
