Shocked, that’s the word that comes to mind when news broke of Prodigy dying. It’s been almost two hours and it is getting harder to process. Just like then, the emotions are all over the place when reporting on the death of a celebrity figure.
Even though most people never met Prodigy, he, like so many others, sacrificed his privacy to entertain the world. There are too many hits to think of from Mobb Deep, over the years. Now, it’s written in stone that there will never be another banger from these guys.
Prodigy is gone, but his memory will live on in the music he blessed the world with, alongside Havoc. All afternoon long, Twitter has come through with tweets from people of all walks of life wishing Prodigy well in his transition.
