Three years ago, Donald Trump scored an improbable victory, making him President of the United States. Since taking office, Trump has had a controversial presidency that has made people now, more than ever, pay attention to politics. Prior to this, few people knew who was who.
Now, people know of politicians all over the country, when before, they didn’t even know who represented their own district. Among the people who rose to fame was Elijah Cummings. With all the Trump controversies, Cummings became a vocal critic.
Elijah Cummings, unfortunately, is the subject of bad news, early this morning. The Maryland congressman has died at the age of 68, and the world is paying their respects. He showed the world what a Baltimore boy could do, once they set their mind to it.
